The post holder will work with the Building Communities Trust Invest Local Officer, the Invest Local Ynysowen Steering Group, residents, volunteers, groups, stakeholders and partners to deliver the projects and programmes of work identified in the Driving Change plan. The role will engage with local residents and develop a sustainable volunteer base, build local capacity to develop a sustainable funding strategy to secure the long-term future of the community beyond the Invest local funding.

This online launch will see us share core findings of our latest research into how communities continue to respond to the cost-of-living crisis and outline the changes we want to see. You’ll also hear directly from community organisations at the heart of this work and have the opportunity to ask questions and comment on the research.

Be vocal and help make a difference... Become a Co-opted Member on one of Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council's Scrutiny Committees.
Scrutiny is an umbrella term covering a wide range of roles with key legislative responsibility for:
Overview and Scrutiny Committees help ensure local public services are delivered effectively and efficiently and have wide ranging powers to investigate areas of local interest.
Scrutiny can question decision takers, call in expert witnesses or hear evidence from other local stakeholders. Investigations are not restricted to Council run services, any area of interest to the local community may be investigated by scrutiny.
There is currently a vacancy for Voluntary Sector Co-opted representative on Corporate Support and Resources Committee.
