Are you, or do you know someone who is, over 60 and has sight loss?

If so, Cardiff University want to find out about the issues you’ve experienced in the past accessing health and social care, and local support services and venues.

Would you be willing to help us by answering some questions about what you need to support your health and wellbeing?  It will take about 10 minutes to complete this survey. 

If you need support in completing this survey, you may wish to ask for help from another person e.g. your caregiver, or if you’d like to complete the survey over the phone, please contact Cardiff University (see below)

TV Licensing is working to help customers protect themselves against being scammed.

We are continuing to ask people to STOP – CHECK – ASK if they receive any suspicious communications that appear to be from TV Licensing.

Your organisation can make a significant difference in keeping the public safe from scams. Supporting our important message is easy.

You can help by promoting on:

  • Your corporate social media channels - we have prepared some social media posts to highlight how people can avoid being the victim of a scam. It would be great if you could post these to your social media channels to help us get the message out and keep people safe. You can access social media images here. You can also find a document containing social media messaging here. The threat of scams doesn’t go away so please support year-round and regularly.
  • Your website - you can also find more information about how to avoid scams and how to report one on the TV Licensing scams page. Feel free to add this information to your website. Read our scams guide with further information.

 

Merthyr Tydfil Global Village was set up in 2005 to raise awareness of and celebrate the cultural diversity of Merthyr Tydfil. Using art and creative projects the team worked tirelessly to develop an annual festival dedicated to bringing cultures together and educating people about Merthyr Tydfil’s diverse roots.

Bids are invited for arts-based projects that align with the spirit of Merthyr Tydfil Global Village Projects should celebrate and raise awareness of the diversity of Merthyr Tydfil. Projects can include workshops, educational activities, dance, music, crafts and food etc to support and promote community cohesion within Merthyr Tydfil, leading up to a celebratory event or be used for a multicultural event in themselves.

Maximum award of up to £1500

Closing date – 12 noon on 29th January 2024

All funding must be spent by 30th August 2024

What: Online “Meet the Funder” easyfundraising. Free unrestricted funds for your organisation

When: Wednesday 24th January 11pm for an hour via Teams

Suitable for: All third sector organisations including voluntary groups, CICs, social enterprises, churches, schools, sports clubs and charities of all shapes and sizes.
