Do you live with arthritis or support someone who does?

Then join us at a local Arthritis Engagement Event & Talk to learn how research is transforming the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, preventing infections after knee/hip replacements, and improving care for lower back pain, and to engage with us as we look at support services in your community and identify the services that are needed in the future.

The event is open to people with arthritis, their carers, health care professionals or anyone with an interest.

Let’s build the future of providing the right services for People with Arthritis together.

This is a free event, but please ensure you are able to attend before booking as places are limited.

Here’s what’s going on in the very busy Third Sector across the CTM footprint today for Suicide Prevention Day.

Suicide and the need to prevent it, is EVERYONE’S business.

Stay safe and know there’s always someone there to care.

The consultation period ends today at 23.59.

We would like to thank those who have already taken the time to attend one of our events and sent through feedback – we appreciate receiving the feedback from the local community and interested stakeholders which will help us to shape our proposals further before the next stage of statutory consultation.

There is still an opportunity to respond to the proposals – our revised proposals offer a split site approach, which means there is separate feedback form for each proposal:

  • An upgrade to our existing water treatment works at Llwyn-onn.
  • A new water treatment works on land in Merthyr Tydfil - Dan-y-Castell Farm, including a new raw water pumping station on our existing water treatment works at Pontsticill.

Details of the proposals and online feedback forms can be accessed online via our virtual consultation room: www.dwrcymru.com/cwmtafstrategy

Our Welsh Water van will also be outside Pontsticill Water Treatment Works on Monday 9th September between 10.30-12.30 if anyone would like to speak to us about the proposals or drop in feedback forms.

If you have any queries about the proposals, please feel free to contact us on cwmtafproject@dwrcymru.com

This is a reminder that Annual General Meeting of VAMT will be held on 26th September, 11am at Merthyr Tydfil Football Club.

  • Audited Accounts 1st April 2023-31st March 2024 – to be received, presented by Marian Barnes, RCH Chartered Accountants
