Are you part of a not-for-profit or community group working in Wales? Are you looking for funding for a new project?

The National Lottery Heritage Fund gives out grants from £3,000  for new projects that involve people in heritage. This includes community heritage, people's cultures, memories and traditions, nature and wildlife, historic buildings, museums and historic parks.

Book a slot with Karen to chat through your project idea with an Engagement Manager from the fund.  Karen.vowles@vamt.net

If you are looking to further promote your organisation, then please register your organisation and services on infoengine, a FREE online directory of third sector services in Wales.

Registering your organisation takes no more than 10 minutes and it will allow you to promote your services to a wider audience and attract people in your community and beyond.

infoengine highlights a wide variety of voluntary and community services that are able to provide information and support so that you can make an informed choice. It is provided by Third Sector Support Wales, a partnership of County Voluntary Councils and Wales Council for Voluntary Action.

Have a look at the Handy ‘how-to’ guides, these will show you step by step how to register and how to keep you details up to date.

Age Connects Morgannwg (ACM) is often asked to support older people with transport and they would like to better understand the demand for this service as well as the barriers that exist to using existing transport provision.

ACM is primarily interested in learning more about the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Region (RCT, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil) but they are not limiting the distribution of the survey to that area and will use the ‘out of area’ findings to inform further potential research opportunities.

They are partnering with Aberystwyth University to do the research on this, and you can get involved by taking the survey and sharing it with your networks https://forms.office.com/e/KtCCxukiaX

The lead for this project is Bethan Shoemark-Spear. If you have any questions or would like to know more, please get in touch with her at Bethan.Shoemark-Spear@ACMorgannwg.org.uk

The survey is only open through February, with a follow up ‘in person’ focus group planned on 1st March at Cynon Linc, Aberdare.

If you know any older people who would like to come along to that event please let Bethan know.
