Cwm Taf Morgannwg have been working with our communities to develop our Dementia Connector. This role was coproduced by people with lived experience across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg region and is an integral part of our regional approach to the delivery of the All Wales Dementia Care Pathway of Standards

It also directly links to the priorities of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Regional Partnership Board which brings people together to improve services and support in Cwm Taf Morgannwg. Age Connects Morgannwg were successfully appointed to run the project and they are currently recruiting a Dementia Matters Programme Manager. The role will seek to support people who have been diagnosed with dementia regardless of age.

You can find details of the role here.

As part of this we will also talk about our support service at Ara Recovery For All. We are the National Gambling Support Network Provider for the whole of Wales and the South West of England. All support is free and confidential. https://www.recovery4all.co.uk/gambling-help/

The impacts of gambling-related harms are significant in many aspects of someone’s life, whether financial, mental and physical health and relationships.

This 90-minute online webinar explores harms to young people caused by harmful gambling and gaming, and the routes into support and treatment. This workshop aims to help make these harms more identifiable for practitioners working with young people and adults. It is CPD Accredited, and attendees gain a certificate
