Platfform Wellbeing Counselling and Support

Thanks to recent funding from the Welsh Government, we have commissioned Platfform Wellbeing to provide wellbeing support to people working or volunteering in safeguarding, and those people affected by safeguarding incidents. The provision includes team training, individual counselling, and critical incident debriefs. All these services will be free to access for people from voluntary organisations in Wales affected by safeguarding situations.

The service is provided in recognition of the emotional toll of delivering safeguarding. We hope that individuals and teams will access this professional support to build their resilience and protect their emotional health and well-being (where this support is not available via their own organisation).

The service is not focussed on developing an individual’s safeguarding practice but could encourage improved personal safety and protection.
