Join the Gellideg Foundation Group as a Wellbeing Coordinator, delivering practical person-centred nutrition, cooking  and wellbeing advice to individuals and communities to promote healthier lifestyles.

Application deadline: Thursday October 2nd 2025 at 12pm

Main working location: The Wellbeing Centre, Gellideg, Merthyr Tydfil

In this role you’ll:

Deliver cooking classes to the community to demonstrate healthy food and meal choices that become family staples.

Run workshops which introduce community members to Dr Michael Mosley's "Just One Thing" health improvements and support them to introduce these into their daily lives.

Maintain accurate records, contribute to discussions, participate in training and uphold GFG policy requirements.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of providing cooking skills and nutritional advice and support with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment and work independently.
  • Is motivated to help individuals improve their wellbeing and is committed to researching and sharing the learning from “Just One Thing” with others.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion, alongside excellent listening skills and a commitment to person-centred support.

Contract type
To 14th September 2028 with possibility of extension subject to funding

Permanent Job: Shop Manager (Charity Retail)

Salary: £23,111.10

 Full Time: 35 hours per week (working 7 hours a day flexibly across the week)

Our Merthyr Tydfil shop’s a much-loved part of the local community with a friendly and thriving shop team. With an Assistant Shop Manager supporting a dedicated group of volunteers the team needs a Shop Manager to lead and inspire them to continue keeping the shop at the heart of the community.

  • Picture Post: National Museum Cardiff, 9th October at 1:30 - 4pm
  • Winter traditions: St Fagans National Museum of History, 6th November at 1 - 4pm
  • Woolly Mammoth: National Museum Cardiff, 4th December at 1:30 - 4pm

These sessions are open to both those living with dementia and those supporting people living with dementia.
