The Care Collective - Supporting unpaid carers

The ‘Carers Support Fund’ is available to Unpaid Carers here in the South Wales regions, including Merthyr Tydfil.

Welsh Government Carers Support Fund

The Carers Support Fund Wales has been put in place to help unpaid carers today’s financial pressures.

If you are an unpaid carer and money is worrying you, you may be able to get a one-off grant.   This is a grant and will not need to be paid back.

The Carers Support Fund is limited and different funds are available to carers in different local authority areas for particular times. We cannot give grants over the limits for each area so there will be times, depending on demand, when we have to close applications.

Carer Support Fund grant applications are now open.

We will have the fund open as often as possible, but the demand is very high, and we might need to close to allow for processing.

We want to get funds out to all who are eligible as quickly as possible and don’t want to turn down applications because information is missing. So please fill out your form with all the details asked for as soon as you can.

Please note due to the volume of applications you can expect to hear the outcome of your grant application from the 1st of August onwards.

The link below will take you to the guidance and the application form.
