Do you work with children and young people in RCT, Merthyr Tydfil or Bridgend?
On the 1st September 2025, we will be implementing the first phase of our regional Exploitation Strategy. The second phase of the Strategy will focus on safeguarding adults from exploitation.
This sets out our commitment and priorities to prevent and protect children and young people at risk of exploitation and serious violence.
We are committed to working in collaboration with children, young people, their families and professionals.
When developing the Exploitation Strategy, we have worked in partnership, developing practitioners’ guidance, toolkits and safety plans with a clear focus on disruption.
These will be available on the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Safeguarding Board’s website soon.
Exploitation is Abuse and nobody can consent to be exploited. All children and young people have a right to be safe and protected from harm.
Together we can make a difference.
If you are worried about a child, young person or adult at risk, speak to your agency’s designated safeguarding person or your local safeguarding team.
If you have immediate concerns, you should always contact Police on 999.
