Pride is a safe space where the local LGBTQ+ community and allies can come together to celebrate diversity and equality.

On Saturday 19th August, Merthyr Pride will kick off with a lively parade through the town centre.

It finishes at The College Merthyr Tydfil, which will be hosting the event.

BCT is launching a new funding programme to strengthen community anchor organisations who are at the heart of their neighbourhoods. Starting in February 2024 and running for four years it will offer flexible funding of up to £150,000 per organisation over four years. The targeted areas in Merthyr Tydfil are:

Gurnos, Trefechan & Pontsticill, Gellideg & Town, Dowlais, Treharris & Trelewis
