Updates

gofod3, Wales space for the voluntary sector, will return as an in-person event for the first time since 2019 and we can’t wait to see you there.

We’re bringing gofod3 back as an in-person event this year for the first time since before the pandemic. We hope you’ll join us for an exciting and busy schedule of speakers, masterclasses, panel debates and workshops. We can guarantee there’ll be something for everyone.

And of course, returning to in-person means ample opportunity to network with your peers from across the voluntary sector as well as meet and chat with public and private sector colleagues in our busy marketplace.

SAVE THE DATE

gofod3 will take place during a particularly special 40th year anniversary of Volunteer’s Week – 5 June 2024 in Cardiff City Stadium. As in previous years the event will be free to attend, although booking in advance is a must.

Please mark the date in your diary, and you can join our gofod3 mailing list to stay up to date on the programme of events and be the first to know when bookings for sessions are open.

ABOUT GOFOD3

gofod3 is an event organised by WCVA, in collaboration with the voluntary sector in Wales. Whether you’re a trustee, staff member, volunteer or all three, gofod3 is designed especially for people involved in Welsh voluntary organisations.

gofod3 was first established in spring 2017 as an annual, one-day event in Cardiff. Forced to cancel the event in 2020 because of the pandemic, we ran gofod3 as a week-long online festival in 2021 and 2022 and have been running a series of gofod3 mini events in autumn and winter 2023/2024.

gofod3 has always been about bringing the voluntary sector together to learn from and inspire one another, so we’re thrilled to be returning to an in-person event in 2024.

VOLUNTEERS’ WEEK 2024

This year is the 40th anniversary of Volunteers’ Weekgofod3 will be taking place on 5 June 2024, near the start of Volunteers’ Week, and the programme will reflect this with plenty of celebrating volunteering in Wales and discussing good practice.

This consultation is being undertaken by the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council to see how the use of the Welsh language can be developed further across the community of Merthyr Tydfil. They are aiming to provide more opportunities to allow people to use the language in an informal environment.
