Grants and Sponsorship – Merthyr Valley Homes

Merthyr Valleys Homes’ Grants and Sponsorship Fund is open for the third round of the year until 28^th September –  and you’re welcome to apply!

Please read the following guidance if you would like to make an application.

What you can apply for:

Groups can apply for:

·        Grants:

o   A grant of up to £3000 if you are constituted and have your own bank account or

o   A grant of up to £500 if you are not constituted and do not have your own bank account (in which case MVH will manage the grant for you if you are successful) or

·        Sponsorship:

o   Up to £500 regardless of whether the group is constituted.

If you have applied to us before, please be aware that:

• If we funded your project during the 2025/26 financial year – we can accept another application this financial year but it must differ to what we funded last financial year
• If we have already funded you this financial year (i.e. during round 1 in June or in round 2 in August) we cannot accept another application this financial year but you’re welcome to reapply in 2027.
• If you have applied to us this financial year but were turned down – you can reapply but the application must differ to the one the panel have turned down

If you’re ready to apply:

You can find all the information about the eligibility criteria, the application process and the amount you can apply for on the information sheet attached.  Once you’ve read that, complete our application form which (when submitted) will come straight through to us.  You can edit this as many times as you like before you submit it and don’t forget to save a copy for yourself.

This form cannot be saved part-way through. Please take a few moments to review the questions beforehand (see attached questions) and ensure you are ready to complete the form in one sitting before submitting.

Supporting Documents: 

We need you to submit supporting documents when you send in your application.   Please don’t forget to submit these – we will not be able to consider your application without them.  

 You can submit all supporting documents by emailing them to Grants@mvhomes.org.uk 

Please note the name of your group in the email heading when submitting your documents so we can match them to your application.

When you can apply:

Dates of when the fund is open this year is included in the information pack attached.   This round of funding is open from the 14^th September 2026 until 5pm on 28^th September 2026.  Once this round closes, you will not be able to access the application form until our next round opens.

Making a decision on your application:

We aim to get a decision to you on your application within a month of the funding round closing, but we reserve the right to extend this if needed (in which case we will inform you).
