The Volunteering Wales Main Grant is now open for applications with a closing date of 5pm on 30 November 2026. Organisations can apply for awards of up to 1 year with a maximum request of \u00a330,000.<\/div><\/div>
The aims of the scheme are:<\/div>
Increase volunteer engagement and satisfaction by removing barriers to volunteering for people of all ages and from all parts of society.<\/div>
Support the creation and development of high quality and positive volunteering opportunities in Wales, in line with the Code of Practice for Involving Volunteers<\/div>
Promote changes in beneficiary organisations to embed volunteering into their culture e.g. obtaining the Investing in Volunteers Award.<\/div>

Introduction to Online Fundraising
\nOnline fundraising is a great way for community groups of all sizes in Merthyr Tydfil to reach more people, raise awareness of what they do, and directly bring in vital funds. Whether it’s through crowdfunding pages, focused appeals, social media, or simple promotion of donation links, digital fundraising can help connect with local supporters as well as people further afield who want to make a difference to your community. It doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive to get started, and with the right approach, online fundraising can become a valuable part of helping your group grow, support your community, and continue the fantastic work you already do.
\nJoin this interactive and relaxed session, led by Lauren Swain and Luke Upton, two of the Localgiving team based in Wales, to gain an understanding of how you can start with online fundraising, boost your donation levels and have your questions answered.
