New Support for Liver Disease
90% of liver disease is preventable, yet new research by the Lancet Commission
highlighted that more than 3000 people a year in Wales are admitted to hospital
every year with liver-related conditions, with most of these being unplanned.
The British Liver Trust
is the only UK wide charity that supports and campaigns for
patients and families so that they don’t have to face liver disease alone.
Their new project in Wales will campaign to improve awareness so more people
understand the risk factors for liver disease, and advocating for better services.
